A new step in the development of Vicat Group’s construction chemicals business.

7 April 2026

Following the successful merging of VPI and Cermix, Vicat Group announces the union of these two entities under the Vicat Matériaux Formulés unit.

The expansion of this business strengthens the long-standing offer of the Group’s materials division in France (Cement, Concrete and Aggregates).

CThis merger, which was formalized in January 2025, now brings together around 400 employees. Vicat Matériaux Formulés has R&D and technical expertise800,000 tons of production capacity across seven plants (Eure-et-Loir, Pas-de-Calais, Nord, Moselle, Ain, Drôme, Vaucluse) and a comprehensive sales network in France

The business strategy of Vicat Matériaux Formulés focuses mainly on developing two flagship brands, which are market leaders in France and expanding into export:

  • VPI, a multi-disciplinary specialist operating across all segments of the premixed mortar market: facades, tile-laying products, masonry and civil engineering;

  • Cermix, leader on the tile-laying product market.

True to its philosophy of “living together”, the creation of Vicat Matériaux Formulés confirms Vicat group’s commitment to:

  • The aesthetic value of buildings, thermal insulation, the promotion of bio-based materials and the restoration of heritage sites through a range of facade applications for new builds and renovations;

  • The durability of masonry work, ease of installation and improved quality of life through a range of tile-laying products;

  • The repair of engineering structures, infrastructure resilience, protection of industrial environments and sustainable water resource management through a specialized civil engineering range.

« In a construction chemicals market that is becoming increasingly concentrated, Vicat Matériaux Formulés has reached a critical mass and has strong growth potential. It is a key player on the French market and a symbol of quality and sustainability. Innovation is our major asset, with the development of products that are increasingly environmentally-friendly and highly technical to meet specific performance requirements. Our project is ambitious and relies on all of our employees » says Philippe Moysan, CEO of Vicat Matériaux Formulés

This dynamic is fully aligned with Vicat Group’s decarbonization strategy, whereby the Group has been committed for years to significantly reducing its CO2 emissions, with the goal of reaching carbon neutrality across its value chain by 2050
