Winning partnership with the La Mache School and Foundation

16 January 2019

It was at the official ceremony on January 16, 2019, at the Louis Vicat Technical Center in L'Isle d'Abeau, officiated by Louis Landrot and Philippe Poyet, respectively Chairman and General Manager of the La Mache Foundation, that eight employees of Vicat group cement plants were awarded 'promotional' training certificates.

Developing the skills of our workforce is of the greatest importance for the Vicat group.

Because of this, the Group entered into a partnership with the State-approved La Mache School to organize training courses designed to enable internal promotion (whence 'promotional training') for two particular positions: cement-plant electricians and mechanics.

Founded in 1920 by Father La Mache, the school now dispenses training for the building, industrial, and digital sectors, stressing the values of cohesion and mutual support. As a decidedly 'enterprise-driven' school, its very close business ties ensure the closest possible match to professional requirements and guarantee excellent job opportunities for its trainees. Sophie Sidos, Chairwoman of the Louis Vicat

Every year Vicat offers training courses lasting several weeks for personnel wishing to take advantage of the opportunity. Congratulations to the 2018 graduates who were presented with their diplomas at the official ceremony in L'Isle d'Abeau on January 16, 2019.
