Visit of Mr. Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate for Ecological Transition, to the headquarters of the Vicat group

19 February 2026

Vicat at the heart of the decarbonization of French industry

The first CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage) Steering Committee meeting dedicated to French industries committed to decarbonization took place at the Group's headquarters, under the auspices of the Government, represented by Mr. Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate for Ecological Transition.

This meeting provided an opportunity for Guy Sidos, CEO of the Vicat Group, to share our decarbonization roadmap and the ambition that drives us, highlighting our key CCUS projects, essential levers for supporting the sustainable transformation of the cement industry.

We presented our VAIA project, a cornerstone of the decarbonization of the Rhône Valley. Vicat is truly proud to be showcased today for this French industry in its decarbonization efforts and to be recognized for the commitment, consistency, and results of our decarbonization actions. This recognition reinforces our determination to pursue the chosen path with rigor and responsibility.
