Bharathi Cement helps development of Bangalore roads network
Bharathi Cement is to supply cement for the highway and expressway development project the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is carrying out to improve access to Bengaluru International Airport.
In 2013, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will start work on a vast program of works for upgrading its network of highways and expressways. The immediate aim is to make access to Bengaluru International Airport easier by eliminating traffic lights over a distance of 3.5 km.
The four-lane NH7 highway between Hebbal and Yelahanka (Kogilu Junction) will be converted into a 22-km-long six-lane elevated expressway with two-lane service roads running along each side, making a 10-lane national highway. The contract was awarded to Navayuga Engineering Co. Ltd, a customer of Bharathi Cement who is proud to have been chosen to supply the cement used to build this infrastructure.
