Performance director

A highly technical role, the performance director has a background in chemistry, thermodynamics and related subjects.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ability to ensure monitoring of environmental processes and procedures 
  • Coordination with various departments within the Group
  • Optimization of production in different workshops


  • Strong skills in adapting to situations, flexibility
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of initiative
  • Team spirit and team work
  • Analytical and synthesis skills


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial engineering, chemistry, geology
  • Excellent mastery of computerized systems and tools
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience

Yann (left), Performance Director 

"I started my career with Vicat in 1999 and worked in the R&D Department for five years. In 2004, I took over the position of Environment Process Engineer in the St-Egrève plant and in 2005, took over as Group Performance Engineer. Since 2008 I have been the Performance Director for the Montalieu cement plant. My role consists in optimizing the energy performance of production facilities while adhering to environmental constraints. I also coordinate different cement plant services: quarry, manufacturing, shipping, laboratory, mechanical and electrical maintenance.”
