Suisse : diversification prometteuse dans le photovoltaïque

Creabeton Matériaux has been producing concrete bases for solar modules since 2002. The most recent addition to its line is quick and easy to install.

Date of the news:

Photovoltaic (PV) energy is being used increasingly in residential and commercial buildings. Not only has this driven down the cost of PV modules, but today’s panel mounting systems are more straightforward than earlier generations. Creabeton Matériaux has been a part of that trend since 2002, when it launched production of concrete bases for solar modules, and has developed a number of targeted solutions for specific applications over the years, most recently introducing a system that combines elements developed separately in the past. The new system consists of a base and a mount with variable tilt. One key feature facilitating installation is that the elements weigh just 45 kilograms each, permitting manual installation on any flat roof.

Energie Belp, a provider of energy services, tested the new design for the first time at the start of the year. The company installed a 147-m2 array of PV cells on the roof of the changing rooms of a sports complex. The panels produce clean, renewable energy equivalent to the consumption of about eight medium-sized households.
