France: Coliposte delivers environmental hub
Construction of Coliposte’s new logistics hub puts the accent on the environment: 1,000 tons of Vicat hydraulic road binder were used.

Coliposte, a subsidiary of the French postal service, has had a new 30,000-sq.m logistics hub built in a strategic location for France. For its construction, the Owner stressed the environmental aspect and chose soil stabilization for the formation level: greenhouse-gas emissions are minimized, and recycling site materials means other natural resources are preserved. From the financial point of view there are direct cost savings too, for no materials other than the Vicat HRB need be bought, and fuel consumption is also far from insubstantial. In conjunction with the Colas agency in Clermont-Ferrand, the West-Central regional division of Vicat Ciment resolved an important issue.
